Vincent Del Rossi, Sr., founded Health Mats in 1969. As the business expanded its service area throughout the Delaware Valley over the next five years, Mr. Del Rossi Sr. enhanced Health Mats capabilities and facilities as well to keep pace with the company's growth. He moved Health Mats to a 10,000 square-foot building in Essington in 1974·.

In 1976, son Vincent Del Rossi. Jr., and his wile Nancy Del Rossi purchased the company. Just one year later, Health Mats again expanded its operation and relocated, this time to a 10,000 square-foot facility in the City of Chester . In 1988, the company moved to its present 26,000-square-foot, all-purpose laundry and cleaning facility in Chester .

Health Mats can attribute its success as a family-owned company to a commitment to building long-lasting, collegial relationships with its customers. Over the last 32 years, Mr. Del Rossi has assumed the primary responsibility of operation and administration of the company. In addition, he, along with the other members of the Del Rossi family involved in the business, remains in direct contact with Health Mats customers to ensure that they continue to receive the service they have come to expect from all employees of the company. A tradition of establishing and maintaining direct company-to-customer relationships has bolstered Health Mats' reputation in the City of Chester , throughout Delaware County , and in its greater service area in Pennsylvania , New. Jersey , Delaware and Maryland.

Since Mr., Del Rossi Sr. founded the company in 1969, Health Mats has been served by four generations of the Del Rossi family. Nancy Del Rossi has been secretary/treasurer since the company's founding: Two other sons of the founder also have played key roles in Health Mats development. Michael Del Rossi currently is vice president and operations manager.  He began his tenure with the company as a Service Rep. and sales representative, helping to reinforce the Health Mats commitment to direct customer service by dealing "hands on" with customers' questions, needs, or problems. James Del Rossi, the son of Vince, is currently involved in the production and service departments. Tony Del Rossi, Vince's brothel; also began his tenure with the company as a Service Rep. and sales representative. Anthony Del Rossi, Tony's son, began his career with Health Mats Company in 2000 as a Service Rep. Since then Anthony has serve as a sales representative and currently holds the position as Service Forman.

The company also has established itself as a willing community partner in the City of Chester and Delaware County . Health Mats historically has provided support in a variety of ways for educational, after-school and sports programs for children and youth.

Health Mats primary service is the rental and cleaning of floor mats for customers in government, manufacturing, food service, public utilities, small business, education and other various public and private sector organizations. Currently the company employs 27 full-time employees and serves more than 2,500 customer locations on eight service routes. They provide services to customers from Baltimore to Allentown to South and Central New Jersey and all of the state of Delaware . Health Mats also specializes in providing custom designed logo mats for organizations and businesses desiring an interesting way to enhance their public image and publicize their services. The company recently has expanded its product line to providing restroom and janitorial supplies.
